Bus Quality Management

GSE considers the management of our buses and drivers to be of utmost importance in order to provide the most reliable coach services to our customers.

This document explains the quality control systems implemented with our company safety regulations.
Please read through the document to understand our efforts in providing you with safe and quality transport services.

As of February 1st 2016

【routine checks for all buses】
The following checks are performed on each of our buses before they go into operation.
《Bus Inspection》
enginequick to start and runs smooth while idling
brake pedalstep on pedal to check appropriate resistance
parking brakecheck resistance isn’t too little or too much
window washerconfirm spray amount and proper location on windows
wipersconfirm wipers work in low and high speed modes with no missed spots
tire air pressurecheck the curvature of the tire
tire crackscheck for cracks, damage, and stuck objects
tire treadssearch for indications of wear on the tires
* sedan/wagon: 2mm or more
* one-box, micro bus: 3mm or more
*large bus: 4mm or more
lightshead lights, tail lights, brake lights, blinkers, and any other lights on the bus work properly. reflectors are also check for dirt and damage
oil checkconfirm there is the proper amount of brake fluid in the reserve tank
battery fluidconfirm there is the proper amount
engine oilcheck the oil gage for the proper amount as well as how dirty the oil is using a gage stick
brake fluidcheck the reserve tank holds the proper amount
coolantcheck the reserve tank for the proper amount of memory water coolant
window washer fluidconfirm there is the proper amount
【routine maintanence checks】 bus maintenance and checks are conducted in accoradance with the laws set forth by the country. When the law does not specify a time period, each check is done once a year.

【exterior upkeep】
1. repair dents, scratches, and other outside damage
2. cleaning and washing the windows and all other areas of the bus
3. check that the door opens, closes, and locks properly

【interior upkeep】
1. Clean inside of bus, including floors, seats, windows, ceiling, storage space, etc.
2. Check seatbelts
3. Check and prepare air conditioner and heater
4. Check the emergency exit doors
5. Check fire extinguisher is attached.
6. Confirm microphone is working properly
7. Check for seat damage or loose seats.

【bus regulations】
1. comply with speed limits
2. Highway speed limites are 80km/h or 100km.h. However, travel regulations will not be exceeded.
3. Passing cars using the oncoming lane is prohibited.
4. A 15 minute break is required after driving 2 hours continuously.
5. Refrain from driving in a way that would discomfort the passengers. (unnecessary sudden speed changes, sudden and unnecessary braking, etc)
6. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited while in the driver's seat.
7. Eating and drinking, as well as private talk with the guides is prohibited while driving.
7. Smoking on the bus is prohibited.
【Insurance】Our company insurance compensation
Insurance Provider: Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance
1. bodily Injury Compensation: Unlimited
2. Object Damage Compensation: Unlimited
3. passenger insurance Compensation: up to 30,000,000yen per person

【Driver's Understanding】
Drivers of passenger vehicles understand the importance of safe driving and focus on safe driving for the passengers, as well as consideration for nearby vehicles and pedestrians.

【While driving a passenger vehicle, the following are particularly considered】
・Report to the company any sickness or fatigue that may affect safe driving.
・Stop immediately if any risks or threats are noticed that may affect driving or cause an accident.
・Do not pass through places that seem dangerous.
・If the vehicle gets stuck on railway tracks, quickly instruct the passenger to exit and get to a safe location, then place flairs appropriately to warn any approaching trains.
・Wait until the vehicle is completely stopped before opening the door, as well as not moving the vehicle until the door is completely closed.
・When stopping, confirm the location is safe before letting the passengers exit.
・Comfirm the the trunk storage is firmly closed before departure.
・Do not operate bus if any of the luggage contains dangerous materials such as gas, kerosene, hydrolic acid, etc.
・Do not let passengers sit anywhere except the seats or place any luggage anywhere but luggage areas or seats.
・Do not exceed the limit of passengers or weight limit
・Do not let unrelated passengers get on the vehicle.
・Public buses must have their inside lights on when operating at nighttime.
・Drivers must not talk about any unneccesary conversations that are unrelated to work duties.
・Do not drive longer than the distance limit designated by law.
・Do not drink or smoke on a bus with passengers.
